Lee Stephen Rayfield[3] (born 30 September 1955) is the current Bishop of Swindon.[4]
Rayfield was educated at the University of Southampton.[5] After a period as a lecturer in immunology at the University of London and study at Ridley Hall, Cambridge he was ordained a priest in 1994.[6] His career began with a curacy at Woodford after which he was Priest in Charge of St Peter's Furze Platt and finally (before his ordination to the episcopate) Area Dean of Maidenhead. As suffragan Bishop of Swindon, he was installed at Bristol Cathedral on 18 June 2005.[2] A keen amateur runner and cyclist[7] he is married to Liz, with three children: Matt, Simon and Louise.
