Leikanger Church (Norwegian: Leikanger kyrkje) is a parish church in Leikanger Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located in the village of Leikanger, along the northern coast of the Sognefjorden. The church is part of the Leikanger parish in the Indre Sogn deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin.[1][2]
The white church, which has 260 seats, was originally built around the year 1250. It is a stone church with a wooden steeple. The church was consecrated on 14 November 1872 by Bishop Peter Hersleb Graah Birkeland after an extensive reconstruction. Since 1999, this is the only church in Leikanger.[3]
