Leonard "Len" Aston (June 14, 1920 in Prescot district – 19 November 1987) [1]is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s playing at representative level for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for St. Helens, as a Centre, Prop, Second-row, or Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 3 or 4, 8 or 10, 11 or 12, or 13 during the era of contested scrums.
Playing career
International honours
Len Aston won caps for England while at St. Helens in 1947 against Wales, and France, in 1948 against France,[2] and won caps for Great Britain while at St. Helens in 1947 against New Zealand (3 matches).[3]
Testimonial match
Len Aston's Testimonial match at St. Helens took place on Saturday 3 March 1951 against Hull.
