Limnobacter is a genus of Gram-negative, nonspore-forming, aerobic, oxidase- and catalase-positive, motile bacteria with a single polar flagellum, of the family Burkholderiaceae and class Betaproteobacteria.[3][4] Limnobacter species have the ability to oxidize thiosulfate.[5]
