Lisa Wu (born Sharon Millette Wu January 23, 1973) is an American television personality, actress, realtor, screenwriter and designer. Born in Inglewood, California, Wu started her career as a backup dancer for musical artists and bands such as Public Enemy, EPMD and Candyman. Shortly after this, she discovered a talent for rap music – subsequently joining an upcoming rap group '19'. After being offered a record deal, she decided not to pursue a musical career. After deciding to leave music, Wu channelled her creativity into film – obtaining writing, acting and producing credits for a 2003 film Black Ball.

Remaining in the film industry for many years, Wu would soon be offered a role in the inaugural season of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta – serving as her real big break.[1] She appeared in the main cast for the first two seasons (2008–09), and was a guest for the third season (2010–11). Since her departure from RHOA, Wu has continued her career in the film and television industry; garnering both acting and producing credits. In 2014, she appeared to be a main cast member with four other actresses who are working for their short film, The White Sistas on the TV One original series Hollywood Divas.

Personal life

Wu's elder brother, Meho, is deceased, and Wu was seen grieving over his death in a Season 2 episode of RHOA, during the build-up to an anniversary of his death.[2]

She married Ed Hartwell in 2005 and the couple had one son, Ed Jr.[3] Ed Hartwell filed for divorce on August 24, 2011; it was finalized October 7, 2011, with the court document giving her name as Sharon Millette Hartwell.[4][5]
