  • The Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Clinic at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles specializes in providing multi-disciplinary medical care to individuals living with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) and Schwannomatosis. Its Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Clinic was established in 2005 and is run jointly by the divisions of Neurology and Medical Genetics.
  • House Ear Institute in Los Angeles is a CTF NFPC focussing on NF2 schwannoma and meningioma.
  • The NF/Ras Pathway Clinic at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco. This is a CTF NFPC focusing on NF1 myeloid leukemia.
• Florida:
  • The Neurofibromatosis Multidisciplinary Clinic at Florida Hospital for Children is the 2nd largest NF Clinic in the United States.
  • The Wallace Lab and Muir Lab at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida focus on the molecular study of benign Schwann cell tumors and the development of new therapies for NF1.

• Indiana: The Neurofibromatosis Clinic at Indiana University. This clinic has pioneered the use of Imatinib to treatneurofibromas.^[1]
• Maryland: The Hopkins Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital

  • The Center for Neurofibromatosis and Allied Disorders at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. This is a CTF NFPC focussing on NF2 schwannoma and meningioma.
  • Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School is a CTF NFPC focussing on NF1 malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors.
  • The Center for Human Genetics at Boston University School of Medicine provides genetic testing laboratory service for Neurofibromatosis type I and Legius syndrome. Testing includes DNA sequencing and Multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification.
• Missouri: The NF Clinical Program at St. Louis Children's Hospital through the Washington University Neurofibromatosis Center.^[2] This is a CTF NFPC focusing on NF1 optic pathway glioma. They maintain a comprehensive list of current NF research studies.

• Ohio: The Cincinnati Neurofibromatosis Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. This is a CTF NFPC focusing on NF1 plexiform neurofibromas. The Ratner Lab focuses on interactions between glial cells and axons during nervous system development and how those interactions go awry to lead to NF1 and NF2 conditions.
