List of active military aircraft of the Philippines

The following is a list of active military aircraft of the Philippines.

Aermacchi S-211		Italy	Light attack aircraft / Advanced trainer	AS-211	4 to 6[2]	S.211 models were locally upgraded to AS-211 "Warrior" standard for ground-attack missions. These are usually armed with a .50 caliber machine gun under the fuselage while the 4 wing hard-points can be fitted with machine gun pods, LAU-32s (a 7-tube launcher for 70mm/2.75" rockets like the Mighty Mouse FFAR and the Hydra 70) or bomb racks (for dropping gravity bombs). The plan is to use these aircraft as jet trainers for screening and training prospective FA-50 pilots. 13 more units remain in storage.
Aermacchi SF-260		Italy	Light attack aircraft Primary trainer	SF-260MP SF-260WP SF-260TP SF-260FH	15 3 8 16[3]	36 older SF.260M & SF.260W models (designated as "MP" and "WP" respectively) were retrofitted with the Allison 250-B17D turboprop engine and are configured for light attack.[4] The 2 hard-points of these aircraft are either fitted with machine gun pods or with the LAU 68 / LAU 131 7-tube launchers (for 70mm/2.75" rockets like the Mighty Mouse FFAR and the Hydra 70) or with bomb racks (for dropping gravity bombs). 24 older trainer SF.260TPs from the 1990s were augmented with 48 new trainer SF-260Fs (designated "FH") in 2012.[5]
North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco		United States	Light attack aircraft / Surveillance aircraft	OV-10A OV-10C OV-10M	6-8 (+2) [6]	Some OV-10A underwent SLEP and were upgraded to OV-10M with four-bladed propellers.[7] Five OV-10Cs were provided by Thailand in 2003-2004. PAF is reactivating 2 more units.[6] These aircraft are armed with a gun pod under the fuselage (7.62mm or 12.7mm machine-guns or locally modified 20mm guns). They may carry two 7 x 70 mm rocket launchers or two Zuni rocket launchers. Or they may be configured to drop various types of bombs - from gravity bombs, to makeshift cluster bombs made out of M3 81mm mortar shells, to smart bombs.[8][9]

Fokker F27 Friendship		Netherlands	VIP Transport Medium tactical transport	F27-100 F27-500F	1 0	Seven aircraft still owned by PAF,[10] but only 2 remain active. The F27-100 variant is used by the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing for VIP transport. A 3rd aircraft (also used for transport, a Fokker F27-500F), was damaged after it made a faulty landing last May 11, 2015. It is now undergoing assessment if it is still repairable.[11]

GAF N-22 Nomad		Australia	Light transport aircraft	N-22B	3[14]	Twenty Nomads owned by PAF but only 3 in service.
IAe NC-212 Aviocar		Indonesia	Light lift aircraft	NC-212i	0 (+2)	PT Air Indonesia (Persero) was awarded by the Philippine government a contract for the procurement of two aircraft NC212i.[15]
Lockheed C-130 Hercules		United States	Heavy tactical transport aircraft	C-130B C-130H C-130T	1 2 2	1 C-130B and 2 C-130Hs.[16] The PAF is buying 2 C-130Ts from the US Department of Defense. First was received by the Philippine Air Force by April 5, 2016,[17] another one was received on October 9, 2016.[18]
