Computer Society
The Computer Society boasts a membership of over 1500 students and is one of the mostly active student bodies of the college. Since its beginning in 1993 with the opening of the computer laboratory with 20 a workstation network the society has been imparting valuable computing knowledge to the colleges student population tirelessly. The Computer Society organizes All Island Software Competitions, Workshops at the National Level to share the knowledge with other schools in the island. We participate in many inter school competitions Computer society organized an Inter School Soft ware competition in which Royal College won the D.S. Senanayake Challenge Trophy for Software.

The Media Circle of D.S. Senanayake College (DSMC), founded in 1992, under Ruwan Ekanayake as the President, is one of the main student associations in D.S. Senanayake College,Colombo 07. It covers all media related needs of D.S. Senanayake College i.e. live coverage of events , playing the role of master of ceremonies etc. Being one of the oldest societies in the Senanayakian Alumni, it has the highest number of members out of the total student body. This is a trilingual media unit, currently holding the following records.

Senior Board
The senior board consists of the president, the post in which the executive powers of the student body members are vested. Three secretaries for each department, reserved for language mediums. A treasurer under which the monetary and financial state of the media circle is vested. vice president, three chief editors, chief organizer, main organizers, organizers and coordinators. In addition, supporting roles are held by assistant secretary/ies, assistant treasurer.

- Computer & Technical Division-Controlled by Computer Administrator.
- Camera and Videography Division -Controlled by CVD Head. Each school function is covered by this particular division.
Buddhist Association
The association controls all the buddhist activities in the school, such as Pirith, Sil observation, monthly sermons. The BA is centered in the School Buddhist shrine, and the guidance of the Venarable theras are given to administer the society. Being one of the societies with the largest membership, BA has several teachers' in charge, responsible for each grade. Different grade sections are made to ensure that the religious observances take place, neatly and regularly. The current president of BA is Asanga Rohana, the vice president is Shermal Premarathna, the secretary is Supun Sachethana and the vice secretary is Sumidu Vajiranga.
Environmental Society
ES is engaged in improving students' love for the nature. The present president of ES is Shehan Rathnayake, along with the secretaries Chamath Rajapakse and Dasith Gayanaka. The students of A/L Biological science students are the members of this. The environmental pioneer group and Globe Environmental society are affiliated to the ES, although they have separate administrations.
ES manages a private garden with valuable medicinal herbs, several gardens all along the college premises and A/L science section. ES is always trying to educate the students about the importance of preserving the environment, and certain lectures are also conducted to accomplish this task.
