Louis  United Kingdom The smack was abandoned in the Bristol Channel. Her crew were rescued by the fishing vessel Ann ( United Kingdom). Louis came ashore at Port Eynon Point, Glamorgan and was wrecked. She was on a voyage from Llanelli, Glamorgan to Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.[1]

John Gilpin  United States The clipper collided with an iceberg in the South Atlantic 150 nautical miles (280 km) off the Falkland Islands. She was abandoned the next day. Her crew were rescued by Hertfordshire ( United Kingdom).

James Baines  United Kingdom The clipper was severely damaged by fire in the Huskisson Dock, liverpool, Lancashire. She was declared a constructive total loss and was subsequently used as a coal hulk.

Busy  United Kingdom The ship struck the Mixon Sand, in the Bristol Channel and foundered. She was on a voyage from Beaumaris, Anglesey to Neath, Glamorgan.[1]

Rajah  United States The New Bedford bark was wrecked on the north side of Bolshoy Shantar Island, Sea of Okhotsk during a gale. Thirteen men, including the captain, perished while thirteen were saved by the ship Condor ( United States).[6]
