- Mount Vesuvius, located 09 kilometers (05.6 miles) east of Naples in Campania. Famous for its violent eruption in August 24, A.D. 79. Its last eruption happened in March 1944. A Decade Volcano.
- Stromboli. Continuously erupting for more than 2000 years. The second most active volcano in Europe.
- Vulcano, one of the Lipari Islands. Last erupted in 1890.
- Alban Hills, located 20 kilometers (12 miles) east of Rome in Lazio. Last eruption happened in about 5,000 BC.
