In April 2012, Panasonic announced it would incorporate LiveU technology into a professional camcorder.[3] In February 2013, Panasonic and LiveU announced the successful integration of the LiveU LU40 with the AG-HPX600 Panasonic camera[4] This integration was possible via a software upgrade key which allowed the LU40 to be controlled via the camera interface. In March 2013 Hitachi integrated their camera solutions with LiveU units[5] and in April LiveU customers could also integrate their bonded cellular solutions with Sony’s XDCAM camera.[6]
