Lloyd Blackman (born 24 September 1983) is an English footballer who is currently player-coach at Isthmian League Division One South side Hythe Town.
Early life
Blackman grew up in Folkestone, attending the Pent Valley School as it was then known, he played football for the school and his form as a centre forward. He began his career in the youth system at Crystal Palace.[1]
Career
Brentford
Blackman made his first competitive appearance for Brentford in the 4–0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion in August 2003.[2] He made his first league appearance against Wrexham in August 2003.[3]
Non-League career
In 2004, Blackman suffered an injury which ended his time in the professional game, however he moved into non-league playing for Scarborough, Chelmsford City, Cambridge City, Farnborough, Woking, Crawley Town, Welling United, Maidstone United, Margate, Whitstable Town,[4] Hythe Town[5] and Chatham Town.[5] He returned to Hythe Town in the summer of 2012 in a coaching capacity.[6]
