London Futurists
London Futurists is an London-based educational and networking event based around futures studies and transhumanism across a range of disciplines. Topics include the technological singularity as well as emerging technologies and their social impact.[1]
History
The UK Transhumanist Association had been holding comparable events since 2004, however the event itself was founded in in February 2008 as a Facebook group.[2] David Wood has held regular events are held at Birkbeck College since 2010 organised via Meetup.[3]
Various full-day events on future scenarios have been held,[3] as well as events in conjunction with the arts.[4][5]
London Futurists serves as the UK Chapter of Humanity+.[6]
