Personal life

Born in Poole, Dorset, Tammam grew up in the coastal town before moving to London in 2000 to study Fashion Design with Marketing at Central Saint Martins.[7]

Fashion

Before graduating from Central Saint Martins Tammam started a fashion label called Tam & Rob, with an old school friend, Lucy Robinson. The label lasted 2 years.[8][9]

Tammam started the Tammam fashion label in 2007. The wholesale collections were stocked in the UK, Australia, Japan and the USA.[10] During this period the label showcased at London,[11][12] Paris and New York Fashion weeks.

In 2009 the label launched the first ethical ready to wear bridal collection in the UK.[13][14]

In 2012 Atelier Tammam opened in Bloomsbury, London. Among the offerings of the Tammam Atelier and label are bespoke laces[15][16] and peace silks, including Eri silk.[17][18][19]

Eleanor Tomlinson is one of the label's fans wearing Tammam to events such as the BAFTA TV awards, Esquire summer party and Empire awards.[20][21][22] Tammam has also created gowns for Alicia Silverstone,[23] Justine Glenton and been worn by a diverse celebrity following including BAFTA nominee Nat Luurtsema, Jenny Agutter,[24] Olivia Williams.

Tammam label was cited as one of the labels in the running to create the wedding dress for Kate Middleton.[28]

Tammam has worked for a range of couture and traditional design ateliers, most notably Catherine Walker of London[29] and Claudio Cavalcanti in Rome.[30]

Tammam has showcased on catwalks globally,[31] including Berlin Fashion Week (Lavera), Istanbul (Fashion is Great Britain), New York[32] and St Pancras International,[33] as well as collaborative shows with other eco designers as part of the Conscious Designers Collective.
