State Route 173 (SR 173) is a 21.03-mile-long (33.84 km) route that stretches from U.S. Route 1 (US 1) in Lincolnville at its southern end to SR 220 in Liberty at its northern end. The route is located in Waldo County.
Route description
SR 173 begins at SR 220 in Liberty. It is concurrent with SR 220 for its first mile before SR 220 turns off SR 173. SR 173 passes into Searsmont and has a 0.87 miles (1.40 km) concurrency with SR 131 before turning onto Lincolnville Avenue and heading east. SR 173 continues to head east into Lincolnville, where SR 173 is concurrent with SR 52 for 0.83 miles (1.34 km). The two routes also intersect SR 235 during their concurrency. SR 173 continues for another 5.10 miles (8.21 km), passing through Camden Hills State Park during this stretch. SR 173 then ends at US 1.
