Malcolm Williams (translator)

Malcolm Williams is an English academic and literary translator.[1] He studied Modern Arabic Studies at Durham University and, after spending a few years in the Middle East, proceeded to obtain a PhD in Arabic linguistics in the UK. As co-translator with Basil Hatim, he has translated Nawal al-Saadawi's novel Love in the Kingdom of Oil. This was published by Saqi Books in 2000. The pair have also translated a volume on the Abu Dhabi.
