Mankato East High School is a four-year public high school located in Mankato, Minnesota. The present high school opened in 1973.
Rivals
The Mankato East Cougars are currently a part of the Big 9 Conference and are rivals with the 9 (soon to be 11) other schools within the conference. However, the Cougars' main rivals are the Mankato West Scarlets, a public high school on the west side of Mankato.
Facilities
Mankato East is one of only two high schools in the state of Minnesota that have planetariums, the other being Rochester Mayo.
Notable alumni
- Craig Dahl - an NFL football player currently with the Los Angeles Rams. He earned a Championship Ring in Super Bowl XLII while playing with the New York Giants.
