Maria Jose De Toro Saiz
Maria Jose De Toro Saiz (born November 11, 1976)[1] is a Spanish long distance and cross country runner. She won the 2015 World Masters Athletics Championships W35 8000 metres cross country event held near Lyon, France.[2]
In domestic races, she finished second place in the Spanish National Marathon Championships in 2011 and was third in 2009. She won the Sonseca Cross Country race four years in a row, 2003 - 2006. In 2003 she was regional champion in 10,000 metres, 2004 and 2006 regional champion at 5000 metres on the track.[3] She finished fifth overall against an international field, as the second Spaniard in the 2014 Santa Pola Half Marathon, beating Radka Vodičková by almost two minutes.[4] She was the over all winner of the 2016 Juan José Lozano Jarecki Memorial Urban Mile held in La Roda.[5] Four days later she finished fifth overall in the City of Albacete Half Marathon.[6]
