Maya Sundarakrishnan is an Indian actress who works in the Tamil film industry. She made her acting debut in the college musical flick Vaanavil Vaazhkai (2015) and became noted for her performances in Thodari (2016) and 2.0 (2017).
Career
Maya completed her engineering degree from Bengaluru, before going on to work in IT sector with Citrisys Solutions in Chennai. She subsequently wanted to go through a change of career and following advise from film director Radha Mohan, she joined the Koothu Pattarai theatre group and learnt acting under the guidance of Jayakumar.[1] She subsequently appeared in two short film with actors Livingston and Charuhasan, before getting her first film offer. Maya began her film career with a role in James Vasanthan’s Vaanavil Vaazhkai, where she had to cut her hair short to play a singer.[2] The film had a low-key theatrical release and did not perform well at the box office.[3][4][5]
Maya is currently working on more high-profile films including Shankar’s 2.0, Bramma’s Magalir Mattum and Anand Balki’s Server Sundaram.[6]
