The Menapis Tigerwing or Variable Tigerwing (Mechanitis menapis) is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It was described by Hewitson in 1856. It is found in South America.
The larvae feed on Solanum species, including Solanum hispidum, and Solanum torvum.
