Megachirella is an extinct genus of lepidosauromorph reptile from the Middle Triassic and contains one species, Megachirella wachtleri, from the Dolomites of northern Italy. Megachirella is known from a partial skeleton that was described in 2003. A phylogenetic analysis in 2013 confirmed that it was a lepidosauromorph closely related to crown group Lepidosauria,[1] the clade whose living representatives are lizards, snakes, and the tuatara.
