Megara railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Μεγάρων, Sidirodromikos Stathmos Megaron) is a railway station in the suburban city of Megara located west of Athens, Greece. The station is located east of the town center, near the Motorway 8 connecting Athens and the Peloponnese peninsula.
The station was opened on September 27, 2005 and its current form dates to 2007. It has two platforms and a siding. It should not be confused with the now closed station on the metre gauge SPAP Piraeus–Patras railway, which is located inside the city of Megara itself.
As of 2013 the station is on the line between Kiato and the Athens International Airport and served by one train per hour in both directions.[1]
