Michael Keohane (racing driver)
Michael Keohane (born August 24, 1980) is an Irish racing driver.
Career
Europa Cup
Keohane competed in the British Europa Cup in 1999, taking fourth place in the championship.
Formula Three
Keohane raced in the National Class of the British Formula 3 Championship in 2001, finishing third in the class with five wins. For 2002 he graduated to the full series, where he finished fifth overall driving for the Carlin Motorsport team, with two wins and eight podium finishes. He also took part in the F3 European Cup in 2002, finishing the one-off race in thirteenth place.
He remained in the series for 2003, although he did not take part in all the races due to Formula 3000 commitments. Driving for both the Carlin and Promatecme teams, it was a less successful season, with only a final thirteenth place in the championship.
Formula 3000
Keohane graduated to International Formula 3000 for 2003, driving for Team Astromega as a temporary replacement for Jeffrey van Hooydonk for two races. He took a best finish of twelfth at Silverstone.
World Series by Nissan
For 2004, Keohane briefly moved to the World Series by Nissan, where he competed in two races, again for Carlin.
