Middenwaard is a shopping centre located in Heerhugowaard, Netherlands owned by real estate investment company Wereldhave.
History
Middenwaard was built in five phases. Construction began in 1974, while the last phase was completed in 2008. Because of this phased development, the shopping centre has a unique external and internal appearance. Meanwhile Middenwaard has been renovated and has an unambiguous appearance nowadays.
The phases are clearly recognizable in the architecture, but also in the functions of the centre. It is the perfect place for everyday shopping as well as shopping for pleasure.
