Milan Blažeković

Milan Blažeković (born July 6, 1940 in Zagreb) is a Croatian animator.

Blažeković began his career at the Zagreb Film studio with short films such as Gorilla Dance (1968), The Man Who Had to Sing (1970) and Man: The Polluter (1973). In later years, he directed three children's films with the animation unit of Croatia Film: The Elm-Chanted Forest (1986), The Magician's Hat (1990) and Lapitch the Little Shoemaker (1997).

By around 2000, Blazekovic ended his partnership with Croatia Film, and returned to Zagreb Film to work on a fourth animated feature, Tales of Long Ago (Priče iz davnine). It was initially planned for a Christmas 2003 release, but is still in development.[1][2]

Blažeković will be involved in another two feature projects: The Hedgehog's House (Ježeva kućica), slated for 2011 (as director and art designer),[3] and an adaptation of Veselin Gatalo's Bosnian book, Ja sam pas… i zovem se Salvatore.[4][5][6]
