The Milwaukee Film Festival is a publicly-attended annual film festival held each September and October in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In 2015, 304 films[1] from over 50 countries were screened at 6 screens venues in 5 Milwaukee County venues, welcoming nearly 71,000 attendees.[2][3] The Milwaukee Film Festival begins on the fourth Thursday night of September and lasts for fifteen days, into early October.
Founded in 2009, after the Milwaukee International Film Festival was discontinued,[4] the Milwaukee Film Festival ranks as the fifth largest film festival in the United Stated in terms of attendence, the number of films screens and festival length.[5]
