The Mising Autonomous Council (sometimes Mishing, abbreviated MAC) is an autonomous tribal council of the Mishing people in the state of Assam in India, with its headquarters in Dhemaji.[1] Its chairman is Paramananda Chayengia,[2] who was elected in 2013 as a member of the inaugural democratically elected executive council of the MAC.[3]
