Tatiana Palanca alias Miss Tati is a Norwegian artist, with origins from Angola and Portugal.
Biography
Born in Portugal in 1986, with Angolan parents, this soul and R&B singer grew up in the sunny city Setúbal before moving to the rainy city of Bergen in Norway. Inspired by hip-hop, soul, funk and R&B Miss Tati cooks up her very own recipe, spicing up festival lineups and bringing some flavour to the national charts.
She started out as a back-up singer for bands such as Datarock, Kakkmaddafakka and Superfamily. Miss Tati has sparked international interest and received her much-deserved national breakthrough thin 2015. Her latest release, the single «Don’t Let Go», gathered love and attention from Okayafrica,[1] The Guardian playlist[2] and a shout out from former BBC Radio 1 host Rob da Bank.[3] She's been seen and heard on festivals like Nattjazz, Bergenfest, Øyafestivalen and Oslo World Music Festival in Oslo.[4][5]

Phil Johnson, London Jazz News, states: «Following Farmer's Market for a midnight show on the same club stage was another great discovery, for me if not for Norway: the singer, rapper and poet Miss Tati is a Norwegian-Angolan from Bergen of whom - although her début album is still awaiting release,- it would be hard to say that she is in any way inferior to Erykah Badu, a clear influence. Backed by a DJ/mixer who had come with her from Bergen, and a funky rhythm section from Bodø with whom she had rehearsed for just that day, Miss Tati was a total star from start to finish.»[8]
