Moerani Bouzige (born 13 July 1999) is an Australian professional tennis player.
Personal life
Bouzige was born on the Gold Coast, Australia, on 13 July 1999 to a French father and a Tahitian mother.[1] He began playing tennis at the age of 5.
Junior Tennis career
Bouzige began playing junior ITF events in October 2012 as a 13 year old. His breakthrough came in June 2015 when, as a 15 year old, he captured his first junior ITF title in New Caledonia. The following two weeks saw Bouzige win another two titles in Fiji and Queensland respectively. In December 2015, he was crowned under 16s national champion of Australia[2] and earned a wildcard entry into the 2016 Australian Open, his first grand slam event.
Bouzige recorded his first grand slam win at the 2016 Australian Open when he defeated Thailand's Nawakarn Khunjan 6-1, 7-6 in the first round.
