Mohammed Aslam is a playback singer from South India. He is most known for his stage performance called "Aslam Nite" dedicated to music legend Mohd. Rafi songs. He has performed across India and Persian Gulf countries, and is also a playback singer in the Tamil and Bollywood film industries.

Early life and career

In his childhood Aslam was inspired by Kishore Kumar, Mohd. Rafi, and Mukesh. He started singing when he was 6-years-old and began performing at age of 13. Aslam has earned international acclaim with over 2,000 stage shows to his credit. His first song for a film was "Naan Uravukaaran" in Nattamai directed by K S Ravikumar in 1994, and after that he continued to sing in several Tamil and Telugu movies. Later, he worked with A R Rahman for hit filims like Rang De Basanti and Jodha Akbar. He was also a part of A.R Rahman's world tour.
