Shree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple is situated in Muliyar village, which connects the Kasaragod – Jalsoor state highway at Muliyar Bridge (300 mtr south direction) and the Bovikana – Kanathur main road at Manjakkal (1 km north direction) provides the pilgrims hassle-free approachability to this temple. It is believed that, a legendary ancient sage, “Kanwa Mahamuni” during his explore throughout the nation visited and stayed in this place. During those days, he performed his daily routines of worship to god & other rituals on the bank of river “Madhu Vahini”. This sacred place is well known as “Kanwa Gundi”(in Malayalam “kannikund”).

Malla Durga Parameshwari temple is a well-known shrine near Kasaragod. Navaratri, KarthikaHunnime, Vasanthotsava and Kalabha are special days at the temple. The particular feature of the MallaDurgaParameshwari Temple is daily Annadanam which consists of distributing food amongst the devotees. The best time to visit the templeis from September to January.
