My Lovely Girl (Hangul: 내겐 너무 사랑스러운 그녀; RR: Naegen Neomu Sarangseureoun Geunyeo) is a 2014 South Korean television series starring Jung Ji-hoon (Rain), L, Krystal Jung and Cha Ye-ryun. Having the K-pop world as the backdrop, the drama tells the story of two pained individuals who find healing through music. It aired on SBS from September 17 to November 6, 2014 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes.[2][3]

Plot

Lee Hyun-wook (Rain) is the CEO of a talent agency that scouts and trains idols. He is a brilliant composer-producer who appears cold and indifferent on the outside but is sensitive and kind-hearted. Hyun-wook lives in great difficulty as he is unable to let go of his ex-girlfriend who died in an accident he witnessed first hand 3 years previously. His ex-girlfriend's sister, Yoon Se-na (Krystal), moves to Seoul in order to pursue her music-composing career and meets Hyun-wook who helps her achieve it. Hyun-wook replaces his father (Park Yeong-gyu) as the president of ANA Entertainment, bringing him challenges and conflicts in his career as a president, with trainees, company promotions, his love life and Se-na. In the midst of healing each other through music, they fall in love.[4][5]

Main characters

Lee Hyun-wook is a successful singer, songwriter, and producer. His father owns ANA Entertainment. He is not in good terms with fellow producer, Seo Jae-young. But, after he lost his girlfriend, Yoon So-eun in an accident he witnessed first hand, he became absent from the music industry for 3 years and couldn't write songs . During this time, he received a text from Yoon Se-na, So-eun's sister. He intends to find her. When he found her, he wanted to be close to her so he became her neighbor, made her the pet-sitter of his dog, Dal-bong, and hired her at ANA Entertainment, which he is now the CEO of. He's called 'Ahjussi' by Se-na. He's able to write songs again as he develops feelings for her.

Yoon Se-na is an aspiring singer and songwriter. She has a sister, Yoon So-Eun. She becomes acquainted with Shi Woo when he tries to embarrass her and her music. She also met Lee Hyun-wook, whom she becomes close to. She becomes his neighbor, pet-sitter, and artist in his company. She calls him 'Ahjussi'. She develops feelings for him. Shin Hae-yoon dislikes her for this. Se-na is continuously wavered by Shi Woo advances.

This is partially business, and partially over Se-na as they both have feelings for her.

Shin Hae-yoon is one of the directors in ANA Entertainment. She has a long-term crush for Lee Hyun-wook. Hyun-wook's father tries to get her together with Hyun-wook. She herself disrupts his relationships out of her love for him. She dislikes both Yoon So-eun and Yoon Se-na because of this.
