Mystus is a genus of fish in the family Bagridae that occur in South and Southeast Asia.[1] This genus is poorly diagnosed. Phylogenetic relationships within this genus are poorly understood, though it has been suggested that there are two major lineages.[2] It was confirmed in 2005 that this genus is paraphyletic.[2]
