Naam Shabana is an upcoming 2017 Indian Bollywood action thriller film, written and directed by Shivam Nair and produced by Neeraj Pandey, under his banner of Friday Filmworks. The film is the prequel to the 2015 film Baby.[1][2][3][4]
Taapsee Pannu will be seen playing lead role in the film.[2] The movie is scheduled to release on 31 March 2017.[5]

Production
Development
The official announcement of the film was announced in the first half of September 2016.[2]
Casting
The makers of the film have decided to cast Taapsee Pannu in the film with her learning and training in mixed martial arts and Kudo along with continuing to train in Krav Maga for the film.[2][6]
Filming
The principal photography of the film commenced in the first half of September 2016 in Malaysia.[2][7] In early November the production moved to the streets of Mumbai, India to shoot action sequences.[7] The film is the prequel to the 2015 film Baby.[2][3][4] French stuntman Cyril Raffaelli joined the production as a stunt director.[8]
