The Logo
The logo of college depicts ripening ball of cotton with a background of green color as that of leaves. The logo originates as the city Nagpur is also famous for Cotton production.

College students uniform
At NIT, discipline is reflected through the students uniform also. To show that there is equality among students they are provided the college uniform. The uniform consist of a pant, shirt, tie and blazer, all in same shade of dull green - the color of cotton leaves, as of the college symbol. Along with the uniform, black shoes & belt are preferred, but students are given their choice
Activity
Udaan is the annual sports event organized at NIT college, having games like:
- Badminton
- Carrom
- Chess
- Cricket
- Dash Race
- Long Jump
- Relay Race
- Volleyball
Along with these games, LAN gaming is also organized under Udaan. LAN gaming event is named as NIT Nexus by students.
