Narcissus symptomless virus (NSV) is a plant pathogenic virus. It infects Narcissus plants. Transmission occurs by Aphids.
Taxonomy
NSV was isolated and proposed as a new species of genus Carlavirus by Chen et al. in 2006[1] and proposed to the ICTV as an update from the 8th report (2005),[2] and was subsequently incorporated into the 9th report (2009).[3] However in 2012 further information came to light to suggest that this was in fact Nerine latent virus, and it was recommended that the name be removed.[4] This will take effect in the next release.[5]
Consequently this taxon is reduced to a synonym of Nerine latent virus, since the latter has priority.
