On the first year of the tour he performed 71 concerts. This is the least amount of performances on a 'Never Ending Tour' yearly tour.

- The Alarm: August 4 and 7. Peters provided shared vocals, Sharp, guitar and McDonald and Twist, backing vocals on "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" on these dates.
- Tracy Chapman: August 21, 23 & 24. Chapman provided additional vocals on "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" on these dates.
- Doug Sahm: August 24. Sahm provided lead vocals on "She's About a Mover" on this date.
