New Caney Independent School District
New Caney Independent School District (NCISD) is a public school district based in New Caney—an unincorporated area of southeastern Montgomery County, Texas (USA) within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area.
NCISD serves the cities of Roman Forest and Woodbranch and the minuscule Montgomery County portion of Houston. NCISD also serves the unincorporated communities of Porter and New Caney.
In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]

Middle schools (6-8)
Starting the 2014-15 School Year (with the opening of Woodridge Forest Middle School), ALL Middle School campuses will serve grades 6-8, as opposed to in the past where they only served grades 7 and 8.
