Newcastle Jets FC Youth is an association football team based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 2008, it is the youth and reserve team of Newcastle Jets. The team currently plays in National Youth League, holding home matches at Rockwell Automation Park, and in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW.
History
The team was founded in 2008, as a Newcastle Jets representative team for the inaugural season of the National Youth League competition. On 19 September 2013, it was confirmed that the team would compete in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW competition for 2014 season onwards.[1] A directive issued by the FFA ensures that the Newcastle Jets Youth team are not to be relegated to Northern NSW State League Division 1 if they finish last in the NNSW NPL competition.[2]
Stadium
The team has hosted its home matches at Wanderers Oval in Broadmeadow and at Adamstown Oval in Adamstown, both grounds are located in the city of Newcastle.
