Nihat Özdemir (born 5 April 1950 in Diyarbakır, Turkey) is currently a board member of the Turkish Süper Lig football club Fenerbahçe SK. He is currently serving his fourth two-year term since Aziz Yıldırım's board came to power. His titles are "Deputy President" and "Press Spokesman" of the club.[2] He has also has received a mechanical engineering degree and sits as the chairman of the Limak Holding board. He resigned as deputy president of Fenerbahçe on August 25, 2011.[3]
Limak Holding was launched in 1976 by Özdemir and Sezai Bacaksız, with Özdemir focussing on cement and energy while Bacaksız focussed on airports and tourism.[4] In 2011, Özdemir and Bacaksız were listed as billionaires by Forbes.[5]
