Nishan Silva is a Sri Lanka born Hotellier General Manager attached to Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.[1][2]

Education

Nishan was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo and is a graduate of University of Leicester in United Kingdom gaining a Masters of Business Administration . He also is a Diploma holder from International Hotel Management Institute Switzerland Lucerne in Hotel Operations Management. While at Nalanda, Nishan was a member of College first XI cricket team and represented Nalanda at Ananda-Nalanda big match. He also represented Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Team that tured England and Bangladesh. Nishan also played first class cricket for the Sinhalese Sports Club.[3][4]

Career

Being in the hotel industry for 20 years and having worked in seven countries, Nishan’s avid interest in food and beverage concepts and trends has helped him make a mark in the hospitality industry. In the year 2014, Nishan won the General Manager of the Year awarded for Asia Pacific employees and hotels at the recent Carlson Rezidor’s annual Asia Pacific Business Conference, held at Radisson Blu Plaza Chongqing, China.[5]
