Ontario Women's Hockey Association
The Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) is the governing body of women's ice hockey in the Province of Ontario, Canada. The OWHA is a member of the Ontario Hockey Federation and Hockey Canada.
Jurisdiction
Unlike men's hockey, the OWHA governs at a provincial level, while men's hockey divides the province into sections (Ontario Hockey Federation governs Northern Ontario through the Northern Ontario Hockey Association and Southern Ontario through the Ontario Hockey Association, Hockey Eastern Ontario governs Eastern Ontario, and Hockey Northwestern Ontario governs Northwestern Ontario.
