PC Jabin Science College Hubli, India is regarded as one of the best science college in Karnataka. More than half of students of science graduating out of Hubli are from this college. It is run by the KLE Society, Belgaum. It is located in Vidyanagar, next to the BVB College of Engineering & Technology. The college is named after its principal donor, Shri Parappa Channappa Jabin of Hubli.
K.L.E. Society's PC Jabin Science College is recognised under 2F and 12B of the UGC act in June 1966. The college was reaccredited by NAAC and the UGC awarded the status of "College with Potential for excellence" in 2006. The UGC granted autonomous status to the college in 2007.

Facilities
The college building consists of a library, laboratories, classrooms and the garden, spread over 8 acres (32,000 m2) of land. Every department is provided with a departmental staff room, a departmental library, a computer, a separate chamber for the head of the department to facilitate free discussion with the students and for counselling. The garden provides for aquaculture and also medicinal plants spreading the green environment around the college. The college provides all amenities for the students' benefit like bank, canteen, post office, telephone, Pure drinking water, career guidance bureau, counselling cell and placement cell.
- Digital Library – The college library functions as the heart of the institution with its unique collection of about 58,000 books and 500 journals and periodicals. The library has an independent building equipped with all the facilities.
The establishment of Digital Library is in process. It has the Open Access System and also the OPAC System which will surely help to render more effective service to the students and staff. A special provision is made to help poor, deserving, SC and ST students by providing one set of books for one complete year. The library is provided with audio, video, Internet. Xerox and coin box telephone facilities.
The Digital Library with Internet and 6000 E-Journals is established in the college. The Digital Library caters to the needs of the students and the faculty in their concerned subjects. It has proved to be useful especially for the members of the faculty in their research work. The entire library is computerised with" Library Management " Software. It has OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) system which will help the students and staff to search for a book at the library.
- Language Lab – The ever-increasing importance of English and the growing needs of Spoken English and Communication skills coupled with the hint given by the members of the NAAC Peer Team in the First Accreditation necessitated the opening of the Language Lab.
The lab has 24 computers and is equipped with the latest software catering to beginners and learners of phonetics.
- Hostel accommodation for both boys and girls – Both girls and boys are facilitated with Hostel facilities. Boys hostel can accommodate nearly 75 boys. This facility is available to students coming from rural areas and with good academic performance. There is Ladies hostel to accommodate nearly 280 students. Both the hostels have all the facilities required and are in the vicinity of the College.
- Student Support Service – Co-curricular and extra curricular activities
All the extra curricular activities such as sports, debates, general function, etc. will be conducted by the College Union which consists of various associations and Gymkhana Departments. These bodies meet periodically to chalk out all the programs. Every student on the college roll is a member of a 'College Union' which coordinates the participation of the students in Co-Curricular and extra curricular activities. There are student representatives nominated by the committee constituted by the Principal. Students can send their suggestions through their representatives or through the staff members so that the function will be meaningful and useful to the students.
Other curricular activities such as seminars, symposia, lectures by experts etc. will be organized through the subject Associations namely Physical Society, Chemical Society, Mathematical Society, Zoological and Botanical Society, Statistical Society and Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishath, which cater to the needs of respective students. Chief Editor will look after the College Miscellany. Students can contribute articles on Subject and General topics and can also send their suggestions for the improvement of the Miscellany directly to the Editor.
NCC / NSS
The college offers NCC training as well as participation in the NSS and community service schemes. The students are advised to join either NCC or NSS and also to take an active part in sports in their own interest as certain percentage of seats are reserved for admission to professional colleges and Post Graduate courses. Such students are also given preference in the appointments in many departments.
Co-Operative Consumers Society The Co-Operative Consumers Society of the college sells articles at reasonable rates which are useful to students. The students are informed to make maximum use of the consumers co-operative society as it is mainly meant for the students of the college.
KLE Society's P.C. Jabin Science College, Hubli, has become the first college affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad, to be recognized as "College with Potential for Excellence" (CPE).
Rules of discipline
- Cell phones are prohibited in the college campus. Ragging is prohibited and punishable.
- Parking of vehicle at owners' risk.
- Wearing collar identity cards in the college campus is compulsory.
- Prior permission of the Principal is mandatory for college tours and excursions.
- Tobacco chewing and smoking in the college campus is strictly prohibited.
- Dress code is compulsory.
The Standing Committee of University Grants Commission has selected colleges after ascertaining the quality of these educational institutions based on 48 parameters.
This college is now eligible to get a financial assistance of Rs. 60 lakh to Rs. 1 crore for undertaking various education development measures.
