Pusarla Venkata Ramana is a former professional volleyball player and an employee of the Indian Railways. He was a member of the Indian national volleyball team.[1]
In the 1986 Asian Games, he was part of the team that won a bronze medal in volleyball. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2000 for his contribution to Indian Volleyball.[2]
Family
Ramana's wife Vijaya has also been a national level volleyball player. Their younger daughter Sindhu is a badminton player who won a silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
