Pavel Zacha (born 6 April 1997) is a Czech professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing with the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Zacha was selected sixth overall by the Devils in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.[1]
Playing career
Junior
Zacha was selected first overall by the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League at the 2014 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.[2]
Professional
Zacha made his Czech Extraliga debut playing with HC Bílí Tygři Liberec during the 2013–14 Czech Extraliga season.[3]
On 11 August 2015, Zacha was signed to a three-year entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils.[4] On 9 April 2016, not long after the Sarnia Sting were eliminated from the OHL playoffs, Zacha played his first NHL career game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording 2 assists. He scored his first NHL goal on November 3, 2016, against the Florida Panthers.
