Payanangal Mudivathillai (English: Journeys Never End) is a 1982 Indian Tamil film directed by R. Sundarrajan. The film stars Mohan, Poornima Bhagyaraj in the lead roles. It was released on 26 February 1982. The film was a blockbuster and completed a 900-day run at the box office.[2] Music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Both the lead actors won Filmfare Awards in their respective categories.[3]

Soundtrack
Music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[4] He had composed the song "Ilaya Nila" initially for Moodu Pani (1980), but that film's director Balu Mahendra rejected it.[5] The tune of "Ilaya Nila" was later reused in the Hindi song "Neele Neele Ambar Par", sung by Kishore Kumar for Kalakaar (1983),[6][7] and "Yeh Aatha" was remixed by Mani Sharma in Malaikottai (2007).[8]
