Pedro Vilca Apaza District is one of five districts of the province San Antonio de Putina in Peru.[1]
History
Pedro Vilca Apaza District was created in March 17, 1962.
Ethnic groups
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (89.53%) learnt to speak in childhood, 4.32% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[2]
