Pelli Pustakam (English Translation: Book of Marriage) is a 1991 Telugu romantic dramedy film produced by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana on Sri Seetarama Films banner and directed by Bapu. Starring Rajendra Prasad, Divyavani in lead roles and music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film recorded as Super Hit at the box office. The blockbuster film has received the state Nandi Award for Best Feature Film, and was premiered in Indian Panoram section at the International Film Festival of India.[1][2] This movie has resemblance to the 1955 classic movie Missamma.[3]

Plot

Newly married couple K. Krishnamurthy alias KK (Rajendra Prasad) works as an art director in Mumbai and his wife Satyabhama (Divyavani) as a stenographer in Kerala for a low salary. To solve their financial problems they seek a job in a big company and pretend to be unmarried as their boss Sridhar Rao (Gummadi) would give job only to one member of a family. So the couple lies that they are unmarried and joins in the company.
