Philbertia tokyoensis is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae.[1]
Description
The length of the shell attains 7 mm, its diameter 2.5 mm.
(Original description) The fusiform shell is elongated and slender. Its color is dark chestnut-brown throughout. The shell contains 6, slightly convex whorls, separated by narrowly impressed sutures. The 2 whorls in the protoconch are smooth. The remainder are strongly latticed. There are 15 strong, equal and continuous spirals on the body whorl, 22 longitudinal ribs on the last whorl, about as high as the spiral cords, but wider and more rounded, disappearing on the very short siphonal canal. The penultimate whorl contains 6 spiral cords. The aperture measures three-sevenths of the total length of the shell. The outer lip is thickened by a rounded varix, within crenulated by short lirae. The anal sinus is deep, narrow and rounded, separated from the suture by a heavy callus. The siphonal canal is short and straight. [2]

This marine species occurs off Tokyo Harbour, Japan.
