Pholcobates flagelliformis is a moth in the Depressariidae family, and the only species in the genus Pholcobates. It was described by Meyrick in 1931 and is found in Brazil.[1]
The wingspan is about 16 mm. The forewings are lilac-grey with an attenuated white costal streak from the base to about four-fifths and a direct transverse whitish line at one-fourth from this to the dorsum, as well as an extremely oblique strong black line from the middle of the costa to four-fifths, where it meets the apex of an incurved white line anteriorly edged dark grey running to the dorsum at two-thirds. The apical and terminal edge are blackish, the apical preceded by white suffusion. The hindwings are grey, suffused white towards the base.[2]
